Your photos should stay yours.

ZapTale only uses the photos you choose to create and save your photobooks. Draft photos, captions, titles, and account details are used to provide the product experience you request.

Resized copies of selected photos are sent to OpenAI to review them for duplicates and quality. Resized copies of the photos kept after that review are sent to Google Cloud Vision to detect well-known landmarks, which is what supplies page captions and the photobook title. Neither service receives your original-resolution photos.

Published photobooks are shareable through links you choose to share. Unused tray photos are removed when a book is published.
